DEVELOPING AN OPERACTIVE PLAN IN THE CENTRAL PHARMACY OF A COUNTY IN PARANÁ, BRAZIL
Abstract
This article aims to report the experience of constructing an Operactive Plan (OP), using the methodology of Situational Strategic Planning, in the Public pharmacy of a city in Paraná, Brazil. The OP was prepared in a participative process by professionals of the municipal Pharmaceutical Assistance. The prioritized problem was the lack of trained professionals in the Central Pharmacy. This issue shows the fragility of drug-dispensing in the city, where patients may not receive the appropriate orientations. Professional capacitation, with training and refresher courses, could improve access to medicines, contributing to safer and correct usage. Participative and effective planning can organize health
services and help guide health managers’ decisions.
